We’re fired up to share that alumnus Mike Dabbs, ’05, ’07, Director of Development in University Advancement, is one of just 19 CMU employees to earn a 2025-26 Staff Excellence Award!

This prestigious award recognizes employees who exemplify CMU’s core values while providing exceptional service to the university and its students. This year, a record-breaking 117 employees were nominated, making this recognition especially meaningful.

“Mike's commitment to Central Michigan University, our students, and our mission has made a lasting impact over his many years of service,” said Jennifer Cotter, Vice President of University Advancement. “Through his dedication to building meaningful relationships and securing support for student success, he has helped create opportunities that will benefit generations of CMU Chippewas. We are incredibly grateful for all he does and proud to see him recognized with this well-deserved honor.”
