While the 2024 OCA seniors were performing well in the classroom, they also performed exceptionally well on the fields of competition. With seven state titles during the 2023-24 year, the 2024 seniors completed their tenure with 24 state titles across all sports. Outstanding students and outstanding athletics, that is what OCA is all about!

We are proud of our accomplishments on the fields of competition, but we are even prouder of the efforts our student-athletes put in to make sure the student comes first. The vast majority of our student-athletes earned a GPA of 3.0 or better this past year with 57 earning Scholar-Athlete honors from the SCHSL, not to mention the 37 who earned All-State honors for their athletic achievement.

Today, we welcomed Graciana Canon as our Victim Advocate Intern. She graduated two years early with a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and also won an award from her university for her research in psychology. We're excited to have her with us!

Oceanside Collegiate Academy students have embraced their opportunity to take Dual Enrollment classes at NO COST to their families. 2/3 of OCA students have earned at least 31 hours of college credit and 8 graduated high school with an Associate's Degree in hand!

Oceanside is a tuition-free public charter high school located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. At Oceanside, our approach to academics and athletics is different. We offer freshman and sophomores a rigorous honors curriculum. But, once a student begins their junior year, most are taking a full course load of dual enrollment classes. Unlike other dual enrollment programs at other high schools, these classes are tuition-free and taught right here on our campus by college-vetted, adjunct professors. This allows our students to get the full high school experience and graduate with up to 60 units of college general education.
We are also known for our elite athletic program. The Landsharks are driven to succeed outside the classroom and it shows. Oceanside’s Women’s Golf team won back-to-back 3A State Championships in 2017 and 2018 and our Men’s Lacrosse Team won the 3A State Championship in 2018. But Oceanside’s students hold a wide variety of interests. Because our program is a split-schedule, half-day program, many students who attend Oceanside pursue outside interests. We have equestrians, actors, gymnasts, dancers, artists and much more. Our academic model allows students to work toward a college degree while still chasing their dreams, and by the success of our students, we know it works. After only three years, we are now watching our alumni go on to the next level in college academics and athletics as confident, successful adults. As a school just in it’s third year, Oceanside’s success has only just begun.
