🌿 7th Annual Opioid Summit | Navigating to Healing and Recovery 🌿

We invite you to join us for the 7th Annual Opioid Summit, taking place November 9 & 10, 2026, at the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort Entertainment Hall.

This annual Summit brings together professionals, community members, organizations, and individuals with a shared commitment to addressing the impact of opioid and substance use disorders and supporting pathways toward healing, recovery, and hope.

This Monday, mentors for the Mt. Pleasant Area Health Careers Pipeline Program got together for a team building exercise. Mentors and medical student facilitators explored valuable communication skills and had lots of fun along the way. Thank you for the guidance and mentorship you provide each week!

The Health Careers Pipeline program is hosted by the Mid Central AHEC in collaboration with the Covenant HealthCare College of Medicine at Central Michigan University.

This past Monday, students in the Mt. Pleasant Area Health Careers Pipeline Program got to meet with professionals in various health careers in our Career Night event. We are grateful to our representatives in Pharmacy, Occupational therapy, Research, Psychology, Medicine, Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from Saginaw Valley State University, Ferris State University and the Central Michigan University for their time and commitment towards building the next generation of health care professionals!

This Monday kicked off the first week of the Mt. Pleasant Area Health Careers Pipeline Program. High School students met with their undergraduate and medical school mentors, learned about the program, got acquainted with the building through a scavenger hunt, and began discussing health career pathways!
