Good Morning Belize!

The sacred corn (maize) has four colors, red, white, yellow and black. Not only does it represent food but it represent us as a people, the different colors of our skin. It also represent the 4 corners or pillars of the universe.
The food of the gods, the food of our Maya people. These 4 varieties of local corn are common in Belize. Families from across the country enjoy almost all meals with some corn tortillas on the side, not forgetting all the rest of the delectable ancient meals which survive to this day.

Our preschool scientists have been learning and exploring the ladybug life cycle. The students have the opportunity to observe the ladybug life cycle in the habitat, from eggs to the ladybug. After that they created the graphic of the life cycle, and made ladybugs in art class.
