What do you do when you need instruments for some energetic 4th graders? You go out and "drum" up some support!
🖤💛🐅🥁
And that is exactly what E.C. Brice Elementary music teacher Alicia Hargett did! A big THANK YOU for helping us keep the beat goes to Atwoods Ranch & Home Goods, Walmart Mount Pleasant - S Jefferson Ave, The Home Depot, and Tractor Supply Co.! You’re helping these Tigers beat to their own drum! Their musical "Autumn Leaves and Melodies" will be presented on November 17.

We love to see our students working together, no matter the age or grade level!

This past Tuesday, students from E.C. Brice Elementary came to the news studio at Mount Pleasant High School-Texas to record their portion of this week's MPISD Today radio show. The high school students gained experience working with a team and the elementary students got to experience the studio and professional equipment. Afterwards, the high school students gave their guests a tour of the Career and Technology building, giving them a preview of classes they can take when they are older!

Great job Brice and MPHS Audio/Visual!

If you have items or clothing you are looking for a place to donate, check out the 3 options below! All will benefit our students!

1. The Wallace Middle School Clothes Closet is running low on certain things. See the photo for what they are looking for and drop it at Wallace.

2. CIS will have its annual Garage Sale soon. You can take donations to the CIS coordinator on your campus or to NTCC.

3. Have gently used coats or jackets? Shanta Lockett at MPHS is collecting them to be distributed to students in our schools!

10/06/2026

MPISD will be closed for fall break on Friday, October 9 & Monday, October 12. Classes will resume on Tuesday, October 13.

RISE (Resourceful Impact in Scholastic Education) is sponsoring a coat drive for MPISD students! See the graphic for some specific sizes needed based on needs identified by CIS Coordinators, but they are taking all sizes and will distribute them to students across the district. You can get them to Mrs. Lockett at MPHS.
