Sundrops Montessori Bridge Campus

Sundrops Montessori is a community in which students love for learning and self esteem is fostered and nurtured. Our mission to to follow the child to their fullest potential , honoring Dr. Montessori's principals and educational methodology.

Sundrops Montessori is a network of schools with a vision of providing education for infants through adolescents that stays true to the footprint of Montessori's principles while also adapting to cultural changes. Dr. Maria Montessori's philosophy was created on scientifically based observations and has had a profound influence on education over the past century. It is implemented around the world proving to be effective across cultural boundaries and socio-economic levels.

Mission: At Sundrops we strive to educate by nurturing the social, emotional, and cognitive developmental needs for each student, individually. Our mission is to awaken your child's natural desire to learn in an environment where trust, respect, responsibility, community, and cooperation flourish. Our classrooms are specially prepared environments with materials that stimulate a student's sense of curiosity and offer dynamic learning at a student's own pace.

Elsa stopped by our Holiday Bazaar today to share a song and take pictures with our guests. Thank you so much to everyone who donated, volunteered, or attended our event!

Always a fun time!!

Counting down the days!! We hope you will grab a friend and join us for this great event. Aaaaand, guess what? If you haven’t gotten your wreath or Christmas tree, we’ve extended the deadline through the weekend!

I love that this is being implemented!

Handcrafts is another one of our specials classes. The children learn to sew and embroider, among other handcrafts. These tasks help strengthen fine motor skills and improve a child’s ability to focus; and at the end of a task, you have a neat little memento to take home. Check out the current work of these talented 6 to 12-year-olds!

Mindfulness and solo time are important parts of our day. It gives us time to stop, enjoy the quiet, and really focus on what is going on right in front of us.

Did you see us walking down the street today? We had a blast at the park!

Lower Elementary students had a great afternoon at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park this afternoon. We walked there (it’s just a mile), had fun on the playground, celebrated a student’s birthday, celebrated our successful year of affirming one another for kind actions and words, had some treats, and took some photos before walking back to school.

Did you know we had a chess club? Looking for new members next school year - kindergarten and up!

We had a wonderful last chess club! We’ve had so much fun learning how to play and strategize, and students in kindergarten through sixth grade joined us every week to spend an hour together. Special thanks to third year Zel Hatfield for suggesting we start a club - he kept pushing for it, and it happened! Thanks to donations from parents and our own Ms. Tammy, we were able to have enough supplies to go around, and we were able to offer this club free of charge, so that everyone who wanted to participate could do so.
Today, Zel brought us homemade muffins to celebrate a successful run, and we took some serious (chess face) and silly group pictures.
We hope everyone gets a chance to practice and improve over the summer! Look for us next year!

Lower Elementary students are still just chugging along with their assignments! Everyone is happily engaged and excited to be on the home stretch.

No testing here! Still just working hard as we zoom toward summer break!
