Le Cercle Francophone Le Cercle Francophone, CMU's French RSO, organizes activities and events revolving around the French language and culture from the Francophone world.

Speaking a foreign language nowadays is a must and knowing French opens up many opportunities. Did you know that French is spoken in several countries in Europe (France, Belgium, Switzerland), in Africa (Algeria, Ivory coast, Senegal and many more), and in North America (Quebec)? There are also many international companies based in Francophone countries. The Cercle’s goal is to expose students to

and encourage the study of the French language and Francophone cultures. Although the Cercle is a French Club, we are very inclusive and do not require our members to be proficient in French. We understand that learning French is a long-term process and we believe that enthusiasm for francophone cultures can also be promoted in English. Our activities are designed to welcome students from all levels! Everybody learns something during an event, whether it is vocabulary items, useful phrases, or exposure to francophone cultures. Anyone can become a Cercle member. All you have to do is attend meetings, participate in fun and interesting activities, and be enthusiastic about the French and francophone world. Also, make sure to be added to our email list so you can stay up to date with the latest Cercle news, like meetings and events.

It is very exciting to to have our events back for this semester!
Our first event of Le Cercle Francophone is Crêpe night! This Thursday 30th at 7pm!!
we will have it over one of our members webex room.

You'll need the following ingredients to follow along
1 cup of all purpose flour
2 eggs 🥚
1/2 cup of milk 🥛
1/4 teaspoon salt 🧂
2 tablespoon of melted butter 🧈
optional whipped cream, fruit 🍌 🍓, and or chocolate 🍫 and any other topping.
