Today we were able to recognize high school seniors who will graduate this week. The group assembled today were some members of Carolina Park Elementary's first (and smallest) 5th grade class back in 2018. It was amazing to talk with them, hear their plans for the future, watch them locate and pose with their clay self-portraits on permanent display in our halls, and then receive a clap-out from Coyote Nation. We are so proud of our graduates, and we look forward to this annual event for seniors.

Congratulations Mr. Bonezzi! Thank you for representing Carolina Park Elementary as a finalist!

Students in our SAIL program have been busy and engaged in learning. Third grade students painted a visual description of nature using descriptive words they identified in a nonfiction passage. Fifth grade students built connections between two- and three-dimensional representations of solids by using “views” of a rectangular solid to construct a model with cubes.

Congratulations to our ALPHA award winner - Lauren Brigmond. See what Coyote Nation had to say about this amazing Kindergarten teacher. Congratulations Mrs. Brigmond- you are WONDERFUL!!
I am so fortunate to work on the same team as Lauren. She is so positive, kind and encouraging to her students and her co-workers everyday. She makes her classroom super fun and engaging for her students. I have learned so much from her this year just by observing her and getting feedback from her. Her past students and current students love her and so do I!!
I would like to nominate Lauren Brigmond for the Alpha Award. Lauren’s impact goes far beyond her kindergarten classroom—she is a beloved presence throughout our school. Her students absolutely adore her, and it’s no surprise to see a line of former students visiting her every single morning. She is a dedicated teammate who works tirelessly to support all of us, keeping everyone updated on what needs to be done and always making herself available for after-school meetings. Lauren is the kind of educator who makes a lasting impression on students and staff alike. As she prepares to leave at the end of this school year, we know her absence will be deeply felt. We are going to miss her so much.
Lauren is such a bright light in this school. If Miss Honey from Matilda had a twin - it would be Mrs. Brigmond. She deeply cares for every single student (past and present) and provides them with such a warm, loving and positive learning environment. You will be missed dearly!!!
Lauren has been an outstanding leader with unwavering dedication and compassionate spirit. Her punctuality, efficiency, and commitment to clear, thoughtful communication has been instrumental in supporting her kindergarten team. She consistently goes above and beyond—working extra hours, sharing vital information, and ensuring every team member feels supported and informed. Her kindness, patience, and genuine love for her students shines through in all that she does. She is a competent, attentive leader and an exceptional listener, and her team is deeply grateful for her positive impact on her team and school community.
Lauren has the biggest heart and is truly a gift to her students, who love and adore her. She has the sweetest way about her — gentle, kind, and deeply encouraging. She is authentic, endlessly positive, and devoted to helping every child thrive. A natural team leader and collaborator, Lauren brings out the best in both her students and her colleagues. Her adaptability, tireless work ethic, and genuine compassion make her a standout educator and a cherished presence in our school. Lauren doesn’t just teach, she leads with love, inspires with grace, and leaves a lasting impact on everyone she meets.
Lauren is a wonderful teacher whom I have learned so much from. She is always patient, positive, and supportive of her students. She has created an inclusive classroom that encourages students to participate and learn from each other. There is no doubt in my mind that every student who has had Mrs. Brigmond as a teacher left kindergarten with a love of school and learning.
Lauren is a dedicated kindergarten teacher who leads her team with excellence, ensuring everyone stays informed and supported. Her love for teaching young children shines through in everything she does, creating a warm and nurturing environment for her students. CPE is truly fortunate to have such a passionate and committed educator on staff.
Lauren is an amazing teacher and colleague. She has the kindest heart and most positive attitude! She constantly supports our team with anything we need or questions we have. Lauren provides a helping hand to anyone in need whether it be last minute sub plans, help with dismissal, lesson plan ideas, or just a listening ear. She plans engaging activities for her students and gets them excited for learning. Lauren gracefully does it all! She is going to be SO missed at CPE next year!
