"Many high school students desire to continue their competitive athletic careers with a college team. It is important to realize that this dream can only be attained by a select few through their combination of dedication, skills, and academics.
No matter what sport you play, many outstanding students are fighting for a limited number of spots on college rosters, so you will need to stand out from the crowd in various ways.
College coaches indeed want athletes that will contribute to the team, while admissions committees admit students that can be successful in the classroom while being active in the college community.
So, what are some ways to build your profile as the total package?"

What is the average ACT score for an out-of-state accepted student at the University of Georgia?
University of Georgia (UGA) does not officially release data on the average ACT scores of accepted out-of-state students. According to the Undergraduate Admissions Office of the University of Georgia, the middle 50% of admitted students for Fall 2021 had an ACT composite score ranging from 28 to 33.
It is important to realize that ACT scores are one of several factors considered in the admissions process, and reaching the average score range does not guarantee admission. Aside from ACT scores, GPA, course rigor, essays, extracurricular activities, and letters of recommendation are also considered by UGA.

"As you go through your high school journey, one of the hardest obstacles you will encounter is preparing for college admissions.
Although some colleges have gone test-optional, standardized test scores are still one of the most important factors that colleges consider when evaluating an application.
The SAT and ACT measure your knowledge and skills in multiple subjects. And are used by schools to assess your potential college success."

"After receiving notification of your acceptance into a college, you must now evaluate if you can afford it. It is a decision that the entire family must make, not just the student.
Schools will send you an award letter (or email), often known as a financial aid offer, explaining the financial aid package available to help make your dream school a reality.
Your award letter may also reflect how your college calculated your financial need based on the information you submitted when filing the FAFSA (or CSS profile for some schools)."
