Pleasant Area Technical Center provides hands-on technical and professional training for mid-Michigan high school students and adults. With a highly experienced staff, state-of-the-art facilities, and over 18 programs, career preparation is made easy. Pleasant Area Technical Center serves Gratiot, Isabella, and surrounding county school districts: Alma, Ashley, Beal City, Breckenridge, Fulton, Ithaca, Mt. The BPA National Leadership Conference was held May 8-12, 2013, in Orlando, FL. Over 5400 students from across the United States participated in over 56 business related contests. Twenty-four Mt. Pleasant High School students from the Mt. Pleasant Area Technical Center AM/PM chapters participated in the competition. There were 13 National Runner-Ups, and 1 National Champion! Student volunteers (15 or older) are needed for a disaster drill at Clare Hospital on August 21st, 2013 at 7:00 AM to noon (breakfast and lunch will be provided). The MPATC/104.3 WCZY/Firstbank Student of the Month for April is Brian Palmer! He was nominated by Mr. Perry Wiles for his positive attitude and outstanding work ethic in Automotive Technology class. Mount Pleasant High School's Business Professionals of America is hosting a Pancake Breakfast in the MPHS Cafeteria this Saturday, April 13th, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., to fundraise for their upcoming national trip to Orlando, Florida. One plate of food, which includes 3 pancakes, 2 sausages, & juice is $5, and All You Can Eat is $8. They are also looking for extra donations to meet their goal of $2000.
