🏆 RED DEVILS BRING HOME DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP AND ADVANCE TO REGIONALS! 🔱

Chapel Hill Cross Country had an outstanding showing at the 2026 District Championship, bringing home a Junior High Boys Team Championship, two individual district champions, two team runner-up finishes, and a Regional qualification!

VARSITY BOYS: DISTRICT RUNNER-UP & REGIONAL QUALIFIERS
Moises Netro captured the individual District Championship with a time of 17:54!
• 🥇 Moises Netro: 1st (17:54)
• Andres Delgado: 4th (19:19)
• Jose Renteria: 6th (20:07)
• Sloan Abbott: 7th (20:09)
• Sean Acuna: 12th (21:06)
• Diego Cedillo: 24th (24:27)
• Gavin Swafford: 26th (25:07)

🥈 JV BOYS: DISTRICT RUNNER-UP
Javier Chavez (6th), Jaxon Lake (7th), Nathan Martinez (8th), Jonathan Bello (12th), and Layton Ragsdale (15th) led the JV Boys to a 2nd-place team finish!

🏆 JUNIOR HIGH BOYS: DISTRICT CHAMPIONS!
Chapel Hill swept the top three individual spots!
🥇 Fernando Vasquez: 1st (13:32)
🥈 Axel Gonzales: 2nd (13:56)
🥉 Josue Barboza: 3rd (13:58)
Riley Crawford (16th), Caleb Filippo (17th), Samuel Inderwiesch (20th), and Wyatt Goodwin (26th) rounded out the team.

🏃‍♀️ GIRLS' RESULTS
Varsity: Kimberlee Carter placed 23rd (19:47), and Kaelynn Russell finished 26th (20:43).
JV: Viktorya Fortenberry earned 3rd place (20:37)!
Junior High: The girls finished 6th as a team, led by Victoria Netro in 11th place (15:41).

The JH Lady Red Devils wrapped up their season last night against Cooper, battling to a close 7-6 finish in Game 1 before falling 12-1 in Game 2.

Our Red Devils closed out their season at Red Lick, battling through both games and finishing the night with a 2-2 tie in Game 1 and a 4-5 finish in Game 2.

We’re proud of the work, growth, and heart these boys showed throughout the season. Thank you to our coaches, families, and Red Devils fans who showed up and supported them every step of the way!
