I’m going to miss this sweet girl so much, she’s moving to Greenville SC this week but I jumped at the opportunity to see her perform “Open the Eyes of my Heart Lord” with her Dad at church this morning. This brought brought me to tears and reminded me that this is why I love teaching piano, to help my students develop a love for music. Caroline you are truly amazing and have been a joy to teach!

Happy Martin Luther King Jr day. Did you know as a child, King took piano lessons from his mother, Alberta, a trained pianist, and later went on to sing in the choir at the church where his father, Martin Luther King Sr., was the pastor. He always recognized the power of music as an “instrument of change.”

Andrea Dow, the composer of Wunderkeys hosted a Zoom recital for my studio last night and provided the most encouraging feedback on each performance. How incredible that she would take time out of her busy schedule to do this. I’m so grateful for this experience and know this is something my students will never forget!
