MPES Sunday Call out from Mrs. Sandrell 8/23/26
Happy Sunday to all of our Tiger families! This is Mrs. Sandrell calling this Sunday afternoon! We had a great week at MPES and thank you to all our families that came out to our Open House on Thursday night. If you weren’t able to attend, your child’s teacher will be sending home some forms. Please look at them. This explains what our Title 1 program is about and how we help our students and families. Extremely proud of those classes this week with 100% attendance! Thank you to all our parents for getting your child there by 7:30 a.m. and in their seat by 7:45 a.m. to learn. Please remember that they can get there by 7:00 a.m. and go get a hot breakfast. We will be starting RTI groups soon and I’m so super proud to see how hard these students will work. Ask them about their RTI teacher and what they do there? Cross-country began practicing this week and will have practice again this week. You will need to write a note if your child is a cross-country runner to stay on Wednesday. All runners will need to be picked up by 3:30 p.m. Just a reminder that all runners can bring a water bottle to fill up or use the water fountain. Our first cross country race will Thank you so much for joining PTA and if you haven’t, please do so by asking your teacher to send home a form. They do so much to help our students and we need that extra support to help all our students in the building. Our First PTA meeting will be August 25th at 5:30 p.m. We would love to have as many parents and families as possible join us! It’s Cookie Dough time at MPES! On Friday, we kicked off our Cookie Dough Fundraiser. All students in grades pre-K through 4th will help support our school and sell cookies to help fund and buy more outdoor campus improvements. We use this money to buy playground equipment for all our students outside. We bought basketballs, basketball goals, benches, we have a new court outside, it fixes broken swings and allows us to purchase other things throughout our school! If your child sells one cookie dough this weekend, then please fill out a sheet and they will get a coop. When they get a coop then they will get a treat for their coop! We are trying hard to raise money to help our playground every year by selling cookie dough! Please look at the packet your child has in their backpack. Your child will either be on the red team with Mrs. Spears or the Blue team with Mrs. Sandrell. Thank you all so much for all you do to help us at MPES! I'm so extremely proud of how all of our students are getting to school on time and getting to class on time and ready to learn! We appreciate your support and we look forward to an amazing year at MPES! See you all in the morning!
