We are ecstatic to announce the opening of Empire Chicago: The Windy City Challenge 🎉

The competition is scheduled for October 30 - November 2, 2020 at a downtown courthouse. Teams will stay at the historic Hilton Chicago on Michigan Avenue, across from Grant Park and down the block from the Bean. They'll be be given the option of either walking to the court or taking a shuttle.

Empire Chicago has been a collaborative effort among members of our Empire Family. The organization is indebted to Jason Stanford (Empire's 'Mayor J'), the coach of the Niles West High School Mock Trial Team. Mayor J submitted a formal proposal to host Empire Chicago and has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make it possible along with his students; special thanks to senior Christian Mancino, who filmed a video as a part of the Empire Chicago proposal.

We are also so grateful to the following people:

- Dr. Glen Halva-Neubauer for coordinating Furman University's sponsorship of today’s live stream announcement. They are an incredible partner. If you are looking for a fantastic summer mock trial camp, consider Top Mock. You can find out more information here: http://furman.edu/topmock

- Libby Day for actively support the organization during its planning. She is a former Empire coach (Spain Park High School) and has even previously Blue Shirted!

- Janelle Vandesampel for storing our Empire Chicago supplies. She currently coaches the St. Charles North High School Mock Trial Team.

Follow us on Instagram today as we showcase what makes the city of Chicago a perfect site for the next Empire competition!

We cannot wait to write the next chapter in Empire history.
