www.oxbowacademy.net Oxbow Academy is a residential treatment center for adolescent boys who have struggled with sexual abuse, sexual trauma, or sexual addiction. Oxbow Academy offers a specialized therapeutic environment that focuses specifically on students with sexual dependencies. These sexual issues are generally symptomatic of other non-sexual problems which may include anxiety, depression,adoption or abuse. They have generally identified different behavioral issues as their core problem and entered other treatment programs seeking help for those issues.

❤️ One year at Oxbow Academy. ❤️

This is from our Clinical Director, David Zane: "My clinical team surprised me yesterday with this beautiful charcuterie board to celebrate my first anniversary at Oxbow - I was deeply touched by the thought behind it.

But while the board truly is exquisite, the greatest gift of this past year has been the people I get to work with!

Servant leadership continues to teach me that the best leaders don’t stand above the people they lead - they serve alongside them. Our team is an extraordinary group of therapists who bring tremendous skill, compassion, judgment, and heart to some of our world’s most remarkably complex young men and their families.

I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished in just 12 months, but even more excited about what we’re building together: a culture where people are trusted, supported, challenged, and united around serving in meaningful ways.

This year has stretched me, taught me, and reminded me how fortunate I am to do meaningful work with people I genuinely care about.

Meet Wh***ey 🐴

Wh***ey is one of the horses the boys at Oxbow Academy work with during equine sessions. As a lunging horse, he helps create opportunities to practice communication, patience, confidence, and trust.

A lot of patience, time, and teamwork have gone into helping Wh***ey become the special part of the program he is today.
