During this time of Thanksgiving, the PTSO would like to express our gratitude to our Wando families, teachers and local businesses that make such a positive impact on our school.

It's just around the corner! Wando Graduation will be held at the North Charleston Coliseum, June 2nd at 3pm.

Wando's 2nd Semester Open House is TONIGHT from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm. We will be utilizing a different format this year. Unlike years past or our fall open house, we will not have an opening meeting in the PAC and we will not follow a set bell schedule. Instead, the evening will have teachers located in their respective classrooms or designated locations from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm to allow parents to freely move through their students's schedule in whatever order works best. Parents and students are welcome to visit teachers in any particular order to allow for convenience in seeing multiple teachers in a certain area or building as well as for parents needing to visit with teachers for multiple children. Remember this evening allows parents to briefly meet the teacher, see the classroom, and gain pertinent information, but out of respect for everyone attending and to allow all parents an opportunity to meet the teachers please keep all conversations brief. PSAT Parent Night is TONIGHT, October 20th from 6-7pm in the Wando High Performing Arts Center (PAC).
Students who took the PSAT in the Fall will receive their score reports during advisement this morning. Parents are asked to bring these score reports with them to the PAC tonight where counselors will show them how to access some wonderful tools through the College Board website, including personalized SAT prep help!

Tonight is Wando Spirit night at Chic-fil-A! Please visit the Highway 17 North (near Wando) restaurant TONIGHT between 5:00-8:00 and tell them to use your receipt towards their contribution to our great school! We are in need of several PTSO volunteers for Spirit Night @ Chick-fil-a (17 North/Market @ Oakland) on Tuesday, Jan. 20th from 5 - 8:00pm.
Wear Wando gear*, serve as food runners, enable customers to feel and see Wando High school spirit and encourage folks to mention they are there for Wando when ordering. (Your student could also volunteer for service hours).
If you have 1, 2, or 3 hours to spare that evening, please email Robin at [email protected].

*If you don't have anything, or can't borrow from your student, see Mary Whitman @ WHS and she will be happy to set you up with something from the school store. THANKS!!!

Did you know that even if you don't have your own Wando PTSO Publix card, every cashier has one they can scan for you? Every time you shop at Publix and scan the PTSO card, our school gets money back for worthwhile projects and enhancements. Thank YOU and thanks Publix!

Just a reminder that exams are today and tomorrow with a regularly scheduled day on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday are teacher workdays (no students) and Monday is a holiday. Good luck on exams and have a safe long weekend!

WHS couldn't do it without you, and we hope you will be back next year.
For those of you who were unable to help this year, please strongly consider volunteering during HSAP next year (if it works for your schedule) as each day last week, we were short a few proctors.
