Our 2nd graders had a wonderful time on today's nature walk with our Faith in Action class! The students enjoyed exploring and observing the plants and animals living both on land and in the water. They also loved working alongside the older students. Our Faith in Action students did an amazing job taking charge and confidently leading their small groups. It was a great opportunity for our students to learn from one another, build relationships, and enjoy God’s creation together!

The SHA Athletic Association Sign Up is OPEN for this fall. Much help is still needed soon, (like, today and Wednesday) as well as into the season.

Did you know? Parents of SHA athletes in grades 7-12 are required to work at least one event in the fall and one in the winter. Elementary parents are not required to work but may volunteer to get involved in the Irish family athletics.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for...popsicles!

Special thanks to our awesome Home & School Association (HSA) for sharing a popsicle treat to end our first week of school on a great note! Thanks, also, to volunteers from the Interact Club & Key Club for sharing your heart to serve at today's event. Many hands make light work!

Yesterday we celebrated our first Mass of the school year with Fr. Andy, Fr. Matt & Fr. Adam. Our teachers and administrators took lead in the roles normally filled by students. While it is always so special to see our students bring up the gifts or hear them read scripture and sing like angels, it is equally heartwarming to see and hear our incredible team participating in the Mass, as well. Thankfully, we had three leaders in the senior class stepped up as altar servers. (Thank you, gentlemen!)
At the conclusion of Mass, Fr. Andy shared photos of his painting of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Thank you to the kind and generous parishioner who donated the photos for our school.
It felt so good to be back at Mass, all together. We are truly blessed!

Yesterday was the BEST first day of school!
We started the day with oodles of smiles (and just a few tears) but it didn't take long for our welcoming teachers and staff to make sure every student had a reason to smile. It was such a blessing to have all three of our priests join us throughout the day. Special thanks to Fr. Andy for blessing our students and classrooms and to Fr. Matt for sharing the meaning of Come Holy Spirit in our first 7-12 assembly of the year!
