Sacred Heart Academy

Sacred Heart Academy seniors joined students from area high schools at Mid Michigan College's "Senior Focus Day" on September 18. Students had the opportunity to explore several career/college/military pathways. This was a high energy day, with lots of opportunities for students to meet professionals in their desired careers, get loads of swag, hot dogs, ice cream, slushies, and so much more!

The SHA students painted pinky fingernails purple for a donation as part of their month-long fundraising effort.
It was great to see our student leaders connect with community leaders and unite for the greater good. Thank you to the Rotary Club of Mt. Pleasant for welcoming our students and supporting their fundraising efforts! Together, we can make a positive difference!

FOUR Events. THREE Days. ONE LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE.

Are you looking for more? Join us on Sunday afternoon, (10/25) from 1:00-3:30 PM for Fr. Leo's VIP Culinary Demonstration Experience. While the evening mission is FREE for attendees, it's not free for our parish, so there is a $50 charge for tickets to the VIP event.

Last week our students learned more about how their food is raised when they
visited the Michigan Farm Bureau Food, Agriculture & Resources in Motion (FARM) Science Program. Equipped with the latest STEM-based lessons to increase agricultural awareness, the mobile classroom brought hands-on, field trip-type learning directly to Sacred Heart Academy!
The lab is facilitated by regional educators who have been trained on the current Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and aim to expand participants’ horizons regarding science and agriculture. Students learned about careers in agriculture and science through experiential lessons, including this short video of our 3rd-6th graders in their ethanol lab, helping them understand how agriculture impacts their daily lives so they grow into informed consumers.
Thank you to the FARM Science Program, Joyce Neyer and the generous donors who made this experience possible for our students!
