An update on Tiger Tennis from Coach Celina Burris!

Tiger Tennis 26’-27’ started Aug 3rd. These athletes have been working extremely hard for the past 2 weeks getting ready for their first competition at Caddo Mills on Aug 11th. Tough competition against a very good team and the Tigers played very well! For many, it was their first match EVER!

Winners were:
Mixed Doubles team of Max Tutone and Melanie Morales.
Doubles team Max Tutone and Axel Mata
Girls Singles, Melanie Morales.

We are looking for more people who want to learn the game of tennis, be a part of a team and amazing program, and learn how to be positive through adversity!

PLEASE come support these awesome athletes Tuesday afternoon at the Love Tennis Center located on the MPJH campus for their first district match August 18th. Start time is 3:30 and will last approximately 4 hours. Bring a chair and popsicles welcomed😁

The first day of school in MPISD is still a week away, but for some MPHS groups, the 2026-2027 school year has already gotten underway! We are so proud of the dedication of our teams and their coaches and directors! We are looking forward to the fall with Tennis, Cross Country and Mount Pleasant Lady Tigers Volleyball and the Friday Night Lights with Mount Pleasant Tigers football, MPHS Goin’ Gold Band and MPISD Colorguards, the MPHS Tiger Dolls, andMPHS Cheerleading!
