Guitar Lessons by Ryan Barringer

Guitar Lessons by Ryan Barringer ALL LESSONS BY APPOINTMENT. I give guitar lessons to aspiring players of all ages. My name is Ryan Barringer, and I've been playing guitar for over 30 years.

I spent most of the 1990s recording and touring professionally in rock bands - but today, I teach guitar - and I'd love to help you or someone you know get to know this instrument that's brought me so much joy over the years. I try to get students playing songs as soon as possible. The sooner someone can string a few chords together and make their way through a tune, the more willing they'll be t

o dive into the world of music theory, and really start figuring out the building blocks of music. Music should be, above all other things, FUN. If you're not having fun, I'm not doing my job. Fun, however, is not an interchangeable word with EASY. This IS NOT easy - but with practice, it becomes EASIER. A student's success is ultimately tied to how much effort they put into playing. Lessons can be either 1/2 hour ($30) or a full hour ($45), paid at the beginning of the month. If you'd like to schedule an appointment, please give me a call or drop me a message. Thanks!

This week in 1979, Ace Frehley landed at #13 on the Billboard Hot 100 with "New York Groove." His first solo album is loaded with hidden gems (like "Rip It Out" and "Speedin' Back To My Baby"), and it's arguably the best of the four solo albums released by KISS in 1978. Which one did YOU like best? 🎸
