Cario Middle School

Thank you to the teachers, administrators and staff, who have been working around the clock since this health scare began to plan for possible school closures. We appreciate all your hard work in having to re-do, re-plan, and re-organize the education of our kids. Thank you for helping our kids be a success and stay healthy. I do hope all of you and your families will all be well.

Hi all. My daughters iPod/ phone got taken yesterday from the 8th grade girls bathroom. She went back and the case was left behind, but the phone was missing. If you see anyone with an extra please let me know. The school is going to pull security footage since it was a very short amount of time, from the time she left it, to the time someone took it. We have used find my iPhone but it says it’s offline. I’m sure, once a student realized they couldn’t use it due to the passcodes/ etc they probably pitched it somewhere.
Anyone know how to log into kids Google Classroom... I get daily updates but I want to be able to see in the google classroom.. what's due, done and not been done yet,etc.. Any help would be great!
We had a FANTASTIC first quarter in 6th grade! Thank you teachers, Admin, Staff and PTSO!

Good afternoon Cario families,
Thank you for your patience, grace, and flexibility as we work together to support the health and well-being of our students, staff, and community during this uncertain time. The Charleston County School District (CCSD) will be communicating any updates received through the CCSD Office of Strategy and Communications (see message below from 3.13.20 or Cario Middle School teachers are working hard to plan for your students while keeping their health and safety as the primary concern. We will share any updates as they are received.

From CCSD Office of Strategy and Communications:
"We understand our county, state, and nation are facing uncertain times as we respond to the impacts and potential impacts of the coronavirus (COVID-19). Due to the uncertainty, we understand rumors are going to circulate about school closures.
But let us be clear: if Charleston County School District (CCSD) makes any changes to our normal operations as it relates to this matter, it will be done in conjunction with and guidance from the Center for Disease Control, the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, the South Carolina Department of Education, and our local government agencies.
Let us be even clearer: if any changes are made to our normal operations, CCSD’s Office of Strategy and Communications will communicate that information directly to our school communities and the public through our official channels, which include our notification system (phone calls, emails, and/or texts), our district website (, our district social media platforms, and press releases for all local news media outlets.
We appreciate your partnership and help in sharing this message.”
