Parents of rising 6th grade parents,
We at Cario Middle School hope this communication finds your family happy, healthy, and excited for your 5th grader to transition to middle school next year. Every spring we extend an invitation to our rising 6th grade parents to attend a one hour session of Cario Conversations in order to learn more about our awesome school. We look at this as the beginning of a wonderful partnership that will enable us to give your child the best middle school experience possible. Please email [email protected] directly to sign up for one of the dates listed below, and I will respond with a confirmation. Prior to the date of the meeting, an email will be sent to you with zoom and other information for the session. Please note that space is limited so we may not be able to accommodate your first choice of dates. We look forward to meeting you, forming a lasting partnership, and helping your child reach their full middle school potential.

The CHAMP Awards was created by Greg Blatt, Founder and Executive Director of CoachesforCharacter. This is the first year Charleston County School District will be awarding the CHAMP Award to 8th and 12th grade students. This award is designed to honor true “unsung heroes” who all too often are not recognized for their accomplishments. The selection process, managed by Charleston County school counselors, focuses on identifying and selecting students who often go unnoticed for one reason or another, but have accomplished great things in their home, community, church or school. Their selection is based on character, community service, academic effort, and overcoming odds.
If you would like to nominate a Charleston County 8th or 12th grader, please submit the nomination form above. All nominations must be submitted by March 1, 2022. A CHAMP Awards Committee at each school will choose finalists from among those nominated. Two students will be chosen from each middle and high school in Charleston County. All CHAMP Award recipients will be recognized at the CHAMP Awards ceremony in the spring. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfKZNaSPkdQojBMbNN5UhAAknurb441NiEACjdut-7I4nSzLg/viewform

Hey CoMeT families, please consider donating to the Stars of Cario campaign. :)
We have just two days left in the Stars of Cario Giving Campaign. One need expressed by students and faculty is the need to replace our volleyball and soccer nets in the recess area as well as add some non-sports activities such as a giant outdoor Connect 4 game. We are only $1500 away from our goal and we are confident that with your help we can get there 🎉
