Morning classmates!

Super, super, super turnout last night. There are pics, so we'll work on getting them posted at some point. Appreciate Randy and Glo for hosting!!!

TODAY:

Last update for the weather shows it starting to taper off between 2-3 (if you believe these weather apps 😉).

Since the forecast yesterday was for more rain on Friday than Saturday we elected NOT to move tonight's event to the Press Box. We are a GO for Lu-Lu's Landing starting around 530pm.

We've had almost 2.5" of rain since yesterday morning, so it is a little "soggy" but we'll have an area available to hold everyone. Temps will be a little cool for August. Dress appropriately.

Little update for this weekend. We are a go whether the weather cooperates or not!!!

Friday at Randy Whites, starting at 530!!!

Saturday at Lu-Lu's Landing, starting at 530. Band from 7-10pm. Wrist band provided for everyone for your discount at Lu-Lu's Dam Grill.

Local classmates please BYOC (chair) if available for Saturday night.

We are only TWO weeks away everyone. A lot of chatter on who is going to be able to attend. Sounding like it will be a great turnout, hope you can make it. Payment information is provided in the information below. One money gets you into both nights. We are glad to take payment the night of the event(s).

Upper and lower classmates are more than welcome to attend. We do ask that all attendees pay for the event.

PS - since a band is scheduled for Saturday, August 1st, the Press Box will be our alternate location if we have thunderstorms. Any changes will be posted on Facebook that day.

Look here! A few 86's stopped by Lu-Lu's Landing for an impromptu visit. Lots of discussion on who's attending the 40th reunion on July 31st and August 1st. So many names being thrown around. Hoping we have great attendance.

Holy Cow 86'ers, it's only 45 days away from our 40th class reunion. Time flies and Randy and I apologize for not getting some additional information out sooner. Here's some updates on the plans for July 31st and August 1st.

Events both evenings will start at 530pm!!

Friday, July 31st
Social evening hosted by Randy White and Glo Fear at their home located at 1559 Oakland Mills Rd. A meal will be provided featuring BBQ pork, brisket, and chicken, sides and dessert. Beer and a small selection of mixed drinks will be available for those that are interested. Feel free to bring a beverage of your choosing.

Saturday, August 1st
Social evening hosted by Steve and Marcy Davis at Lu-Lu's Landing (owned by Steve & Marcy) at 1529 253rd St (Oakland Mills). There will be a 10% discount offered for their food truck, Lu-Lu's Dam Grill. Music will be provided by 80's band The GRIND Band from 7-10pm. If the weather is not cooperating, we will move to the Press Box for the evening.

Cost for both events is $25 per person, or $40 per couple regardless of whether you attend one or both nights.

Other activities......
* 8th annual Trenton car show on Saturday from 11am-4pm. This has grown into one of the best car shows in SE Iowa with food, music and 200 cars all in the little town of Trenton IA.
* "Don't You (Forget About Me)" - a scavenger hunt down 80's memory lane. A list of locations that were common to us in the 80's will be provided on this page. Your tasked with remembering where these businesses/landmarks were located and telling us what's there now.

We have not reserved or blocked any rooms for this event. If you need hotel accommodations, please reach out to the hotel of your choice.
