Join us this week on Sunday, March 1st, at 4:00 PM at Staples Family Concert Hall for the Live from Staples! CMU Symphony Orchestra concert. Under the direction of Dr. Keith Dodson, we are thrilled to be featuring our orchestra as they perform a program comprised of works by Berlioz, Dvořák, and Márquez. Guests are welcome to join us in person at Staples Family Concert Hall or via the livestream on the CMU School of Music YouTube Channel (no account necessary).

Thank you to CMU School of Music for another wonderful opportunity the string students in our community!

The School of Music is excited to announce Violin & Viola Day, taking place on Sunday, February 1st, 2026. Registration is currently open! 🎻🎶

This year, we are delighted to introduce a Violin Competition during the event, featuring a grand prize of $500 for the winner. High school violinists performing a 5-minute solo from Suzuki Book 4 or higher are invited to participate.

We are also pleased to welcome Dr. Hannah Levinson and Dr. Hassee Borup as our esteemed guest artists for Violin & Viola Day!
