Band family and friends,
Just a quick update for everyone regarding our travel plans for this weekend. As many of you have already seen, the competition host for the Texarkana Four States event has made the very difficult decision to cancel the contest due to the severe weather.
While we are naturally disappointed to not be competing, we want to extend our sincerest compliments to the leadership at the host school. Making a call like this, especially after all the time and resources that go into planning, is incredibly tough. We have immense respect for their decision to prioritize the safety and well-being of all student musicians, directors, staff, and families involved above all else. This is a shining example of true community care.
Our band will still be back at work this coming week, because the show must go on! We will see you on the field soon.

It’s bandtober time. Some photos taken of the band preforming at some of our football games that John Whitten and MPISD students took. We love getting to see these photos.
