Teacher Spotlight: Mrs. Haley Stoup

We’re excited to welcome Mrs. Stoup to Ramsay Elementary as our new Learning Support teacher. A graduate of Hempfield Area HS and Seton Hill University, Haley is beginning her second year in the classroom after previously serving as a long-term substitute in Jeannette.

She’s excited to learn and grow alongside her students and be part of Ramsay’s new Special Education team. ❤️📚

Outside of school, Haley enjoys gardening, hunting, hiking, and working on her family’s hay farm in Kecksburg. She also loves spending time with her dog, Buck! 🐶🌿

🚒 Fun fact: Haley is a volunteer firefighter!

We’re excited to welcome Ms. Hamborsky to Ramsay Elementary as our new Learning Support teacher!. Madison graduated from Seton Hill University this spring with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. 📚

A graduate of Connellsville Area High School, Madison also gained valuable experience at Seton Hill as a research assistant and teacher assistant.

She’s ready to bring her experience, enthusiasm, and passion for learning to Ramsay Elementary!

Teacher Spotlight: Ms. Sarah Edwards! 🍎

We’re excited to welcome Ms. Edwards to Ramsay Elementary as our new Learning Support teacher! Sarah graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood & Special Education with an International Concentration. 📚

While at SRU, she was a member of the Marching Pride and Winter Guard. She also traveled internationally three times during college—including marching in the 2024 London New Year’s Day Parade, studying in Sweden, and student teaching in Spain! 🌎

A coffee lover who has worked at three different coffee shops, Sarah is looking forward to building connections with her students. ☕❤️

We’re excited to welcome Ms. Derr to our school community at Ramsay Elementary as a learning support teacher. A graduate of Seton Hill University, Alycia was also a college tennis player. 🎾 She attended high school at a neighboring school in Alverton, PA.

Ms. Derr is looking forward to meeting her students and creating a safe, welcoming space for them. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, reading, and spending time with her Great Dane, English Mastiff, and cat. 🐶🐱

Fun fact: Ms. Derr lives on a dairy farm! 🐄

We’re excited to welcome Mr. Trout to MP as a High School Social Studies teacher. A graduate of Waynesburg University this spring, Isaac is returning to the area after attending high school in nearby Alverton, PA.

While at Waynesburg, Isaac played football and served as team captain for two years. He also served as a Waynesburg Athletic Leadership Officer, demonstrating his commitment to leadership both on and off the field. 🏈

🍎 Teacher Spotlight: Mrs. Meadow Hynek 🍎

We’re excited to welcome Mrs. Meadow Hynek to our team as a Jr. High Learning Support teacher. A graduate of Alderson Broaddus Univ. and Mt. Pleasant Area, Mrs. Hynek brings both classroom experience and a strong connection to education and athletics.

She taught for three years in West Virginia before coming back to our school community. She was also a member of the first PIAA Softball Championship team at Mt. Pleasant Area! 🥎🏆

We’re thrilled to have Mrs. Hynek with us and look forward to a great school year!
