Happy Groundhog Day! Today isn't just about a groundhog seeing his shadow or not as there is more to our beloved Phil and this year we wanted to get to the bottom of it. ☀️⛅️☁️

Here are some fun facts about the famous Punxsutawney Phil:

🌷 He has been around since 1887. Did you do the math? Yes that makes Phil over 130 years old! Legend has it there are no other Phils, just the one! 🤓

🌺 It's "Groundhog Punch" that keeps him so young. Yes you heard it Groundhog punch that he is fed every summer at the annual Groundhog Picnic that extended his life another seven years. 🥤

🌸 Punxsutawney Phil lives in the town's library. 📚

🌻 Phil lives in the library with his wife, Phyllis. Even 130 year old groundhog has found love. 😍

💐 He was reportedly named after "King Philip" - for many years he was called "Br'er Groundhog" but in 1961 his name was changed to Phil. Better ring to it! 👑

🌹 He speaks Groundhogese. Wonder if you can study that somewhere 😂

🥀 His prediction are always correct - just sometimes misinterpreted. His retired handler has said Phil is never wrong we blame the variants on the president's interpretation of Phi's prediction.

So long story short we aren't just leaving our weather predictions to any old groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil is one of a kind!

January means oyster roasts in the low country. 🦪 ☀️ 🌴

In case you have not heard or not following our Geiger Investment page, today is one of the sweetest days of the year. Today is the day we are ALLOWED to indulge and not feel any regrets, well maybe you may feel regret if you eat a whole cake so try to limit how many pieces you eat. If you followed our story line on Geiger Investments you know one of our own is a major chocolate fan as I just sit back, roll my eyes and eat a bag of skittles. I hope there is a day of eating just skittles, I will have to do some research and maybe perhaps just create that holiday. But back to chocolate, fun fact of the day when I was pregnant with our middle child I had an obsession with Chocolate Peanut M&Ms. I know the Skittle lover made the awful switch to Chocolate (I apologize if I offended anyone with my comment). The best part of my story however is that I had massive party size bags of Peanut M&Ms everywhere, in the house, at work, in the car (thankfully it was cooler outside) and in my purse. There was never a point that I could not pop one of those delicious M&Ms in my mouth. As Kevin would say they extended the factory shifts just to keep up with my habit. However one day I woke up and wanted NOTHING to do with them. In fact I couldn't even smell them without being sick to my stomach. So poor Kevin as he never wants anything to do to waste tried to eat all the half eaten bags of M&Ms. There was so much that I believe he does not to this day eat Chocolate Peanut M&Ms. 😂 Moral of the story is love your chocolate but never buy more than you can eat!
