We would like to send a HUGE thank you to Tenley Marshall, Rylee Frederking, Hannah Whitaker, and everyone who supported the “Clothes for the Classroom” clothing drive!
We are so thankful to these young ladies for giving their time to collect this incredible donation, and to every person in our community who contributed. Your kindness will make a difference for so many students as they begin a new school year.

From one MPHS class to the next, the "Clothes for the Classroom" back-to-school clothing drive was a great success. "Clothes for the Classroom", whose motto is "for students, by students", is a student-led, nonprofit that MPHS 2025 graduate, Tanner Marshall, along with a group of students, started before their senior year in the summer of 2024.

Tenley Marshall, Tanner’s sister, took over the cause and held a clothing drive this summer. The community responded in an incredible way by donating 2,087 clothing items and 100 pairs of shoes. Marshall, Rylee Frederking, and Hannah Whitaker spent many hours sorting through the items hoping to lighten the workload for the receiving organization.

The haul was donated to Communities In Schools of Northeast Texas (CIS) to be distributed to students in need throughout the community.

Our Backpacks & Breakfast fundraiser was a wonderful success, and it happened because of YOU!

Together, we collected:
🎒 $750 in school supply donations
❤️ $380 in monetary donations
🌟 $1,130 TOTAL for local students!

To everyone who donated school supplies, gave financially, shared our posts, told a friend, attended breakfast, or simply prayed for our event and its success — THANK YOU.
Every notebook, every backpack, every pencil, every dollar, every share, and every prayer played a part.

We are so grateful to Communities In Schools of Northeast Texas for the work they do every day for children and families in our community. Knowing these supplies and funds will be used to help local students makes every bit of this even more special.

🎒 TOMORROW's the day! Join us for our Back 2 School Bash beginning at 11 AM!

Bring the family and help us support Communities In Schools of Northeast Texas. There will be family fun, great food and prize giveaways.

🍔 $3 Jr. Double Burgers with Cheese start at 11 AM and will be available all day while supplies last.

📚🍎 We'll be collecting school supply donations, but we will not be distributing school supplies.

Join us this Friday, August 7, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM for a delicious breakfast and help us make a difference for local students!
This month's Breakfast and Backpacks event is benefiting Communities In Schools, and we're collecting new school supplies to help children in our community start the school year with confidence.
As you're out this week, would you consider picking up just one extra item?

🖍️ Crayons or markers
It may seem like a small purchase, but to a child who doesn't have school supplies, it can mean the difference between feeling left out and feeling ready for the first day of school.
I still remember how exciting it was to get new school supplies each year. Looking through fresh notebooks, sharpening new pencils, and getting everything ready for school was a special part of growing up. Every child deserves to experience that same excitement.
