Who is ready to hone their skills or learn new ones?

So... I know it has been quite a while since I posted anything here, but with Covid I wanted to make sure that I can offer classes safely for all of you. Now that a large percentage of the population has been vaccinated (me included), it is time to start offering some classes and one-on-one training again. Please reach out to me with what you would like to see as far as class offerings. Do you want classes on the basics like exposure (shutter speed, aperture, and ISO)? Or would you prefer to learn some of that "technical" stuff by working with specific situations? More of a how would James approach a specific situation, for example, how did I take the photo below? (I'll give you a hint, you have to travel to Utah first...) or how do I take a "portrait" of someone indoors vs. outside? Let me know your needs, wants, and desires, and I will work on designing some classes.

Are you planning on getting someone you love a new camera for Christmas? Why not get them some education to go along with it? Nothing is more frustrating than trying to figure out why that new camera is not taking awesome photos every time. Why not get them a gift certificate for some personal training? Due to the current state of the pandemic I will not be offering any public classes with multiple students. But, I will offer one on one training in as safe a manner as possible. With Covid getting worse instead of better, I really don't feel I can offer full fledged classes with multiple attendees. I am however willing to do one on one classes at the same price as a regular class. So for $40 you can get two hours of personal training. You pick the topic and level you want to start. So, is anyone tired of staying home??? Is anyone ready to get their learn on? I am considering offering some shorter classes with a very limited number of students per class to limit everyone's exposure to each other... If I get some interest, I will work on a schedule. Also, if you are interested in one-on-one learning let me know (I will even wear a mask if you want me to...)

Just wanted to thank you all that have been visiting my page during these tough times. Just know that I will be offering classes as soon as it is safe for all of us to gather. In the mean time, if you need any tips or help with figuring out how to photograph anything just request to join my private group Students of Labonte Photography. There you can feel free to post your photos and ask for help. If you have free time, now is the time to learn a new skill and document life in quarantine... Hope to see you all soon!

So if you want to learn how to do this, contact me today! I taught a private lesson a little while back and this is what she learned to do. This is my fully edited version (I took this one), but she got some photos that were very close to this one! You too can do it and I have no secret techniques that I won't teach you. I am an open book...
