Chelsea offers unique private lessons in voice, guitar, piano, ukulele, and bass in-person in the Point Pleasant area and throughout New Jersey and beyond. Chelsea began teaching lessons in 2010, and immediately found her passion for opening up the world of music to the next generation. Since officially launching Chelsea Carlson Music Lessons in 2012, she has taught over 125 students. It is Chelse
a’s goal as a music teacher not only to provide her students with the knowledge and technique to successfully play their instruments and be great musicians, but also to equip them with the tools necessary to have a future career in the music industry. Her well-rounded curriculum helps students explore music through classical exercises in technique and music theory, while providing them with a creative outlet through learning songwriting and performance skills. Chelsea’s students have gone on to attend the Berklee College of Music 5 Week Summer Performance program on scholarship, perform on BBC Radio, be selected for and attend Paper Mill Playhouse’s Summer Conservatory, receive music scholarships to their colleges, be nominated for the Paper Mill Playhouse’s Rising Star Awards, receive recognition at the Mayo PAC, and have successful careers on the local music scene as well. Chelsea currently teaches lessons and the Pop/Indie Performance Class at Red House Music & Rehearsal Studio in Point Pleasant, NJ. Students from further distances are welcome to take lessons with Chelsea virtually. She also runs an annual Christmas caroling group with her students called the Figgy Puddings and teaches preschool music classes at Long Valley Christian Nursery School.
