Field Day is Always a Good Day. Go Green! 💚

March 13th 2020, I told these 2nd graders we’d be back in two weeks. Wow, was I wrong! Three years later…we all had lunch together again. They’re bigger and barely fit in the desks, but they’re still my 2nd graders. 💙💛

Today we had two special visits! A strings mini introduction and one of our grownups who read aloud stories with sound effects!

Heinz Hall did not disappoint! 🎺🎻🎶

Today we played with Mr. Kolling’s kids during gym and once again showed how amazing we are by welcoming the Galardini kids into our world for a day. Take Your Child to Work Day was a success!

These gardeners are the best. We took all afternoon and planted our seeds. We’re hopeful that Monday morning will show us some sprouting! 🤞🏼🌱

Science is back!! Today we opened a seed and found the embryo (baby plant) and cotyledon (food source). 🌱
