The sessions at this event will focus on enhancing instruction while empowering teachers to become leaders in their classrooms and schools.

***NJEA Legislative Conference: Scholarships to attend are available (Only PAID NJEA Members may attend) What happens in the schoolhouse is affected by what happens in the Statehouse. That’s why when it comes to legislation and politics, it’s vital that NJEA members get educated, get organized and get involved. The 2018 NJEA Walter J. O’Brien Legislative and Political Action Conference provides you with an opportunity for all three. This year’s conference will feature five breakouts organized by issues important to you and public education. Legislators will engage in discussions focused on the following issues: Future of Unions, Pensions and Benefits, If Not PARCC, Then What?, School Funding, as well as Impact of Poverty on Public Education.
