We loved hearing about all the wonderful things all the children have accomplished, and the programs they have been involved in.

Heart of the Village is a homeschool community, offering co-ops for education and socialization. Heart of the Village (HOTV) is a family and community center.
We provide support for homeschooling families by giving them space to interact and partake in activities for enrichment. Our offerings include families participating in activities like arts, crafts, community service projects, sports, dance, story time and various learning opportunities.

Our Advancement Ceremony today was a lovely celebration of all our hardworking homeschoolers! Here’s a sneak peek of the photos from today featuring the opening procession, with students from kindergarten- 11th grade.

Our spring co-op session has been packed with hands on learning, creativity, connection, and so many new experiences. So far our children have been exploring practical life skills through cooking, sewing projects, first aid and safety lessons, mindfulness practices, meditative nature walks, and meaningful group discussions. Each week brings opportunities to build confidence, strengthen friendships, learn teamwork, and try something new in a supportive environment. It has been so fulfilling watching the kids grow, create, and engage so fully with everything this season has to offer, and we still have more fun and learning ahead. 🌿🧵🍳✨

We are excited to open this year’s HOTV Homeschool Advancement Ceremony and Celebration to the community. Because space is limited, priority will first be given to current co-op families.

Heart of the Village plans on going on some field trips this summer- where would you like to meet? Farms? Playgrounds? Petting zoos? What else? Help us plan our summer field trips! ⬇️

We had a wonderful visit to the Peter Mott House this week. It was powerful for the students to step inside a home that was part of the Underground Railroad and see history come to life after discussing many of these locations in class.

I’m obsessed with this greenhouse analogy for homeschooling. When you look at a greenhouse, do you think of how lonely and sheltered those plants are? I see that greenhouse as a shelter that promotes growth and progress in a safe environment ❤️
