Watch kids make pasta from scratch! 🍝
Behind the scenes of a recent garden-to-table class Crawford Park Mansion with a special collab with The Pesto Stand 🌱🪴
Homemade pasta + homemade pesto + cooking + gardening + tasting = pure joy! 🥰
Our little chefs recently experienced a true garden-to-table adventure with Chef Natasha Natasha Brunetti Starting out by making fresh pasta dough from scratch (or as they liked to call it play dough). 😂
Next, we had Claire from The Pesto Stand show the kids how to make a corn basil pesto, giving the kids a chance to taste fresh ingredients and learn where great flavor comes from. 🪴🌽
While our pasta dough rested, we headed to the garden. The kids dug, planted, explored, and connected with the very place where so much of our food begins.
Then back to the kitchen, where the real excitement started. They rolled out their dough and fed it through their mini pasta maker, watching long strands of fresh linguini appear right before their eyes. 👀
Finally, we cooked the pasta, tossed it with our fresh pesto, and enjoyed a meal we created together—from garden to plate. ❤️
It was more than a cooking class. It’s hands-on learning, creativity, teamwork, and the joy of sharing something you’ve made yourself.
And what a perfect way to end the class with a certificate, making them feel very accomplished! 🤩
