Jennie Colabatistto is a professional NY vocalist and voice teacher and has been teaching private vocal and music lessons since 2018. Jennie has taught all levels from brand new beginners to professionals who are currently recording and performing. She also teaches all genders, styles, and ages 6 to 65! Jennie teaches all genres with specialties in Jazz, Musical Theatre, Soul/RnB, and Pop. Jennie is also a working singer and performer, with her own band under her name and also sings with several original, tribute, wedding, and cover bands. She has shared stages and done backing vocals for household names and has sung in theaters and amphitheaters to thousands of people. Jennie has a huge passion for passing on her knowledge, experience, and love of singing and meeting the student where they are at in their singing journey is her goal in lessons!

Laura Reyes holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from The Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music and a Master of Music in Opera Performance from The Curtis Institute of Music. Currently she is studying for a Doctorate in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy at the University of Mobile. She has been awarded Best Songwriter of the year by ASCAP. She became a Semi-Finalist at The Metropolitan Opera National Competitions in New York. Laura was Resident Artist at The Bavarian Opera House under maestro Kent Nagano. She has worked at Samford Academy of the Arts, Point Loma Nazarene University, Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music, Sacred Heart University, University of Puerto Rico and many other institutions in the United States, Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador, and Puerto Rico.

These days, especially as a parent, it is easy to get caught up in the idea that everything you do needs to be for achievement. Everything needs to be measured, tracked, judged, compared against benchmarks.

But some things don’t need to be measured to be worthwhile. Some things don’t need to be scaled or accelerated.

Some things just take time. Some things don’t have levels or watermarks or titles. And they are wonderful, just the way they are.

Before every GRM student show, I make the same speech to our students. First, I congratulate them-- they've done all the hard work already, the performance is just icing on the cake! I tell them that we are not here for perfection or excellence, rather we are here to celebrate their hard work. Final...

Zach Mo is a doctoral candidate at the CUNY Graduate Center studying under Alan Feinberg, and holds a Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music; he has also studied at Northwestern University, the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A performer and educator with over 20 years of experience, he has served on faculty at the 92NY School of Music, the Weill Institute of Music at Carnegie Hall, and Baruch College, and has performed as a soloist and chamber musician across Europe, Asia, and the United States. Zach considers education the greatest gift a person can give and views music as a medium through which one can engage with "an ever-deepening understanding of the mind, body, and the connection between the two.
