Our vision is that HPCS preschool students will be recognized for their high level of academic achievement, strong moral character, and life-changing personal faith in Jesus Christ. Our program features a safe, loving, and caring environment in which early childhood academics, socialization, Christian education, creative arts, and fun are all components. We offer a ratio of 1 teacher for every 8 s

4K- Monday-Thurday

Our preschool class had so much fun playing in the snow this week! The kids spent time outside building snowmen, making snow angels, and testing out their snowball skills❄️☃️. Seeing their joy and excitement brought our teachers some smiles in the midst of this "second winter!"

Our little learners celebrated Valentine’s Day and love throughout the month of February with lots of smiles, sweet friendships, and heart-filled fun! 💌❤️ The children enjoyed making Valentine cards, painting hearts, sharing treats, and talking about what it means to be a kind and caring friend.

We also took time to remember that love comes from God and talked about how Jesus teaches us to love one another every day. “Let all that you do be done in love.” – 1 Corinthians 16:14

It was a joyful month filled with faith, friendship, and fun!💕

❄️ Winter is here! ❄️ This month, our preschoolers are exploring the wonders of winter through activities like snowman building, mitten crafting, and ice scavenging. As they engage in this frosty-fun, we will focus on learning this beautiful truth: God created each of us uniquely and with love. Just like no two snowflakes are alike, every child is special and wonderfully made! 💙

🎄✨ Celebrating the Joy of Christmas ✨🎄

What a beautiful season to celebrate the birth of our Savior! This week, our little ones learned about the true meaning of Christmas—God’s gift of love through Jesus. We celebrated this special time with stories, crafts, and tree decorating!

We are so thankful for our families, teachers, and students who make our school such a blessing. May this Christmas season fill your hearts with joy, peace, and the love of Christ.

Thanksgiving Fun! 🦃🍁

What a wonderful week we had learning all about Thanksgiving and the importance of having a grateful heart! Our preschoolers explored the many ways God blesses us each day and discovered how we can share His love through kindness, thankfulness, and helping others.

This week in preschool, we explored one of God’s extraordinary creations—nocturnal animals!🦇These are animals that come out when the sun goes down. As we learned about owls, bats, raccoons, and fireflies, we talked about how God made each creature special—some for the day and some for the night.

We also discussed how our God never sleeps —day or night! He is always there, watching over us and protecting us ❤️. How comforting to know we have an ever-present Lord!

Learning About Our Community Helpers: Firefighters 👩‍🚒

Our preschoolers had an exciting week learning all about firefighters and the important work they do to keep our community safe!

Students learned about fire safety, explored the tools and protective gear firefighters use, and practiced important safety skills such as “stop, drop, and roll.” The highlight of the week was getting the chance to meet and learn from our local firefighters! The students loved exploring the fire truck and hearing its siren up close — so many smiles and curious questions!

A big thank you to the Mount Horeb Fire Department for spending time with our little learners and inspiring them to be brave helpers too. 🚒🔥

🍎 Apple Adventures in Preschool! 🍏

Our preschoolers had so much fun learning all about apples this week! They explored the different colors and sizes, counted apples on a tree, made apple cutouts, and even enjoyed a yummy apple-tasting activity.

It was wonderful to see their excitement as they used their senses to explore and discover. Hands-on learning never looked (or smelled) so sweet! ❤️

Parent's & Grandparent's Day at Mount Horeb Christian School - Preschool! 🥰

Earlier this week, we celebrated some of the most important people in our little ones’ lives — our amazing parents and grandparents!

The classroom was filled with laughter, hugs, and happy hearts as children shared songs, crafts, and special treats with their loved ones. 🍩🎨🎶

Our Preschool students at Mount Horeb Christian School are diving into letters and loving every minute of it! This week, they had a blast learning about the alphabet and reading the fun, rhythmic book, "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!" 💥

From giggles to group chants, these little learners are off to an exciting start in their literacy journey. Way to go kids! 👏

This week, we opened our doors and our hearts to the littlest learners at Mount Horeb Christian School for the very first day of the school year! From tiny backpacks to big smiles, our preschoolers were ready to explore, play, and grow in God’s love.
