Our teachers are back at school and ready to welcome back our students!

Students can come meet their teacher before school starts on Monday, August 24th anytime between 11:00-2:00pm. They should bring their supplies and be ready to have their school picture taken!

That night, we will also have Parent Night from 6:30-8:00pm. Parents are encouraged to attend to learn more about Mount Horeb Christian School and their child's class.

We look forward to another great school year and can't wait to see what God has in store! 😃

We are happy to welcome Ericka Foster to our teaching team at MHCS! Ericka returned to Mt. Horeb 7 years ago after living in Colorado, Idaho, and Guatemala, where she homeschooled her children for the past 12 years. When Ericka's not teaching, she loves spending time with her family worshipping the Lord, being outside foraging wild plants, hiking, stargazing and working with her hands. Ericka is excited to share the awe of God's creation in science class this year! 🌎🌟

Game on! 🏈 Our field lines are down, and the action has officially begun!

This week, we were thrilled to welcome 7th graders from the Mount Horeb Barneveld Football Program as they hit the field to prepare for their upcoming season. It's exciting to see our fields being put to great use and filled with the energy of young athletes!

As our campus continues to grow, we look forward to creating even more opportunities to serve, support, and connect with organizations throughout our Mount Horeb area community.

We are excited to announce our new middle school ELA teacher: Mrs. Rachel Chancellor! 🎉

Rachel lives in Mount Horeb, WI with her husband and four boys. When she's not at work, she spends time with chickens and kittens on a beautiful farm. Rachel worked in the public schools as a high school English teacher and then in full-time ministry after that. You may have also seen her in our MHCS office 😉. She is happy to resume teaching ELA and take on this new role at MHCS!

We're thrilled to see our brand-new gymnasium and auditorium coming together! In partnership with Life Church, this incredible new space will provide a beautiful worship area and a full-sized basketball court, allowing our school to host athletic events and create new opportunities for our students and community.

Shelley Johnson brings 28 years of educational experience to her role as Principal of Mount Horeb Christian School. She served as Lead Teacher from the school's very first year in 2019 and stepped into the Principal role in 2023 when MHCS became its own organization. Her passion for building a Christ-centered school culture, maintaining academic excellence, and investing in every student, family, and staff member has been instrumental in shaping MHCS into what it is today. We are blessed to have her leading our school!
