Our elementary students had an amazing field trip to the Aldo Leopold Nature Center and Monona Dream Park! ☀️ It was a day full of exploration and adventure as students walked through the woods, studied water bugs, and climbed to new heights!

It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn, explore, and enjoy God's creation! 🌿

Today, we are highlighting our 3/4th grade class!

This week our students have:
✨Written appreciation letters to local police officers and firefighters in honor of 9/11
✨Built 3D “Imaginary Insects” based on the characteristics of insects they’ve studied in Science
✨Completed a Venn diagram comparing and contrasting each other's differences and similarities to reinforce teamwork emphasized in Ecclesiastes 4:0-10.

Today we’d like to recognize our amazing 3/4th grade teacher, Sally Henson, and all she is doing in her classroom!

Sally has taught at Mount Horeb Christian School for the past two years after moving back to Wisconsin from England, where she taught for 10 years. Sally has a true gift for meeting all students where they are at; providing the perfect balance of patience, support, and structure. These characteristics, combined with her love and care for the students, make her a truly wonderful teacher!

We are very blessed to have Sally at our school and appreciate the love and grace she gives to our students ♥️.

🍂 🍎 Fall Fun Fest! 🍎 🍂

What a fun-filled evening at our Fall festival! Our students enjoyed bouncing and sliding on the inflatable slide, testing their luck with BINGO, and getting a little wild with an exciting game of watermelon football!

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and memories made as we celebrated the beautiful fall season together. We love making special moments with our school family! 🍁🍄

Parent's-Grandparent's Day at MHCS was a wonderful day filled with love, learning, and fun! ❤

We started the day off with a special Chapel message from Pastor Travis on "How to Shepherd a Child's Heart," which emphasized the importance of guiding children in the teachings of Christ. Then we returned to the classrooms to play games and enjoy delicious treats.

We appreciate all the family members who were able to join us for this special day and hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Our elementary students had a spike-tacular time painting their adorable fall-themed hedgehogs! With colorful leaves, cozy autumn shades, and plenty of creativity, these little critters turned out too cute to resist! 🍂💛

Our teachers are back at school and ready to welcome back our students!

Students can come meet their teacher before school starts on Monday, August 24th anytime between 11:00-2:00pm. They should bring their supplies and be ready to have their school picture taken!

That night, we will also have Parent Night from 6:30-8:00pm. Parents are encouraged to attend to learn more about Mount Horeb Christian School and their child's class.

We look forward to another great school year and can't wait to see what God has in store! 😃

We are happy to welcome Ericka Foster to our teaching team at MHCS! Ericka returned to Mt. Horeb 7 years ago after living in Colorado, Idaho, and Guatemala, where she homeschooled her children for the past 12 years. When Ericka's not teaching, she loves spending time with her family worshipping the Lord, being outside foraging wild plants, hiking, stargazing and working with her hands. Ericka is excited to share the awe of God's creation in science class this year! 🌎🌟
