Check out our 2nd graders' "Tree of LINES" art projects! 🌴🌳🎋 Students practiced drawing different types of lines while inventing an abstract tree to illustrate an imaginary environment. ✨ These pieces were inspired by artist Gustav Kilmt's "Tree of Life." 🌳 You will also notice beautiful butterflies on display! 🦋 Students learned about symmetry in design by coloring one side with warm colors and the other with cool colors. 🎨 Shout-out to our art teacher, Ms. Farley, for inspiring our students to explore their creativity! 🙌

​🚌 Bus Information for Monday, October 12th​ 🚌
​➡️ Bus 8 will operate on the same schedule as it did on Friday, October 9th​, due to driver illness. Bus 8 students will ride Bus 123 in the morning with Mr. Willoughby and Bus 138 in the afternoon with Mr. Robinson.
​➡️ Bus 138 students will arrive home ​about 15-20 minutes later.
​➡️ If you would like to change your child’s transportation home, please send a Dojo message to your child’s teacher.

📚 Get ready for BOOK JOY! 🎉 The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Pinewood Elementary, and we can’t wait to help our students discover books they’ll love! 😄

📍 The Book Fair will be in our Media Center from October 15th-23rd. Family members may come to shop with their students at these dates and times:
➡ Thursday, October 15 -12:00-6:30 p.m.
➡ Tuesday, October 20 - 2:45-4:00 p.m.

💸 We’re also cashless again this year! Families can set up a Scholastic "eWallet" - a digital payment account that allows your child to shop without bringing cash to school here:

We are creating something magical! 💫 We are holding auditions for Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr.! 📚 All Pinewood students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade are welcome to try out. Parents & Guardians, you will receive a confirmation message on ClassDojo after completing the sign-up form below. ✅ The form must be submitted no later than Sunday, Oct. 11th. ⌚ We are so excited to see which students are selected to perform in our musical! 🎶 🎭

Tomorrow we celebrate both Pajama Day AND Bring a Stuffy to School Day!! 🧸 We are so thankful to our families and students for reaching our $15,000 and $20,000 fundraising goals!
