Exciting press for Raptor MS Girls Flag Football, as some of our MS Girls Flag Football prospects were featured on the Charlotte Premier Sports Social Media, after participating in a July camp. We can't wait to see our inaugural team take the field!

We would like to welcome Coach Ashley Davis to the Raptor Family, she will lead the inaugural MS Girls Flag Football program as the Head Coach! Ashley has 3 kids who are MICS student-athletes that are involved in Cheer, Girls Flag Football, Track, Basketball, and Football. During the day Ashley is busy as a Care Coordinator, Surgery Transplant for Heart Atrium Healthcare, Sangar Heart & Vascular.

Ashley is a life-long athlete, participated in Volleyball/track and field/flag football, Former Division-1 Hurdler/Heptathlete, and is currently an avid Golfer.

Please help us welcome Na'Kara Love as our first high school Girl's Flag Football head coach!

Na'Kara Love is a native of Jacksonville, Fl. She brings a passion for leadership, mentorship, and the game of flag football. A former four-year high school Varsity team captain, Coach Love played quarterback, free safety, and rusher before continuing her football career through collegiate intramural competition and women's flag football.

She has spent more than 15 years leading teams, mentoring young professionals, and building cultures centered on communication, accountability, and growth. Her professional and community leadership experiences have reinforced a coaching philosophy rooted in the belief that Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance.

Coach Love has been involved as a parent volunteer for Mountain Island’s Football program over the past two years. She is excited to help build a tradition that reflects the pride of The Island while establishing a Girl's Flag Football program that will compete with confidence, represent their school with pride, and leave a legacy for years to come.

Welcome to Fay Moyers, she will lead our MS XC team this Fall! Fay is an avid runner who found her love for running in high school and college, she's a UNC Wilmington graduate. She spent several years at the US National Whitewater Center working as a Land Sport Guide and Outdoor School and Summer Camp Coordinator. Fay's daytime gig is as a Pottery Studio Manager/Instructor, putting her Bachelor of Arts degree to great use.

We are so excited that Fay has joined the Raptor family!

We wrapped up another great year of K5 Athletics last week with the final K5 Track Meet, and a week of VolleyKidz camp. Looking forward to seeing the kids next school year!

Congratulations to MICS Swimming Beck Armstrong on being recognized today by the NCHSAA at the honor ceremony in Greensboro for an incredible achievement of winning four individual state championships! What an outstanding accomplishment!
