On the latest episode of “Head, Heart, and Hand,” NMH’s alumni podcast, we connect with Olivia Cleary '16, founder, CEO, and creative director of The Clearly Collective, a boutique brand design studio that transforms place, memory, and cultural heritage into textiles and objects, most notably, silk scarves.

⏳ There’s still time to submit nominations for the inaugural Northfield Mount Hermon D.L. Moody Prize in Social Entrepreneurship, recognizing outstanding innovation and service in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors.

👉 The prize, named for NMH’s founder, will be awarded annually to an entrepreneur whose creativity and dedication to making positive change evokes the spirit that Moody modeled in his own work.

🌍 The prize is open to entrepreneurs around the globe. It’s funded by a gift from Sam Calagione ’88, P’18, 20 and Mariah Draper Calagione ’89, P’18, 20 and carries a $50,000 honorarium.

Today, the thoughts of NMH & NMH Alumni community members are with the families of those we lost on September 11, 2001, 25 years ago today. This includes four members of our community: Stephen Adams, Dining Services; Christoffer Carstanjen, Information Technology; Frank Doyle ‘81; and David Rivers ‘79. On September 11, 2002, a maple tree was planted in their honor with a plaque, directly north of Alumni Hall, where flowers are placed their honor. Next time you are on campus, take note of this beautiful tribute.

At Northfield Mount Hermon School, flags on campus hang at half-staff today, and the bell in Memorial Chapel tolled for five minutes beginning at 8:46 AM, followed by a minute of silence observed throughout campus.

Everyone at the NMH AOC event on August 6th had a great time listening to The Soulful Jazz Trio, featuring NMH’s own Ron “Smitty” Smith, at Sam Adams Boston Taproom!

Thanks to the school, the Calagione’s, and everyone who came out for a wonderful evening of great music, great company, and reconnecting with fellow NMHers. 🎶

🖌 Artist and educator Kasandra Pantoja P'16 has found a creative way to honor NMH's long history of groundbreaking Black alumnae: through beautiful fabric portraits.

🎙 On the latest issue of "Head, Heart, and Hand," NMH's alumni podcast, Pantoja talks about her work and what inspired her to share this rich part of the school's history through her art. Joining her in the conversation is Dr. James Greenwood, NMH's dean of equity and social justice, who worked with her to identify the trailblazing writers, entrepreneurs, doctors, public servants, and others featured in her portraits, which were on display at our recent reunion.

🎓 660 alums and guests converged on the Northfield Mount Hermon campus to reconnect and make new memories at NMH Reunion 2026.

👉 The jam-packed weekend included opportunities to celebrate with old friends and make new ones, learn more about life on campus today — and have a lot of fun.
