📣 It’s almost time to meet your teachers and get ready for an exciting new school year! Mark your calendars for Open House Week in Montgomery County Schools!

📅 Middle Schools & MOVE Program – August 5, 2025
📅 High Schools – August 6, 2025
📅 Elementary Schools – August 7, 2025
🕔 All events will take place from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at each school location.

Join us to explore classrooms, meet school staff, and kick off the 2025–2026 school year on the right foot. We can’t wait to welcome our students and families!

Ms. McRae needs our help. She has an art project she wants to do with each student, but she needs cereal boxes. They need to be empty. If you have any that she can use, please bring them by to the front office or send them in with your student.

🎉 We will be celebrating Teacher/Staff appreciation week, next week (May 5th- May 9th). Please help us and join in with showing our teachers/staff that they are very much appreciated. 🎉
Also, this Friday, May 2nd. It is now a full day of instruction and well as Tidal Wave fundraiser pre-order forms are due. 🌊🚗

Did you save the date for the MGES fall festival? If not, NOW is the time to add it to your calendar. November 1st from 4pm-6pm MGES will host our annual fall fest. Come and enjoy an evening of fun, we will have a bouncy house, a hayride, a haunted classroom, dance room, and MORE! Of course, we will also have the number one favorite... the CAKE WALK. If you would like to donate cakes/cupcakes/ little debbie cakes for this please just send them in with your student and/or drop off in the front office. Thank you so much for always supporting MGES and we hope to see you there!

We would love it if all parents, caregivers, relatives, etc. of MGES students would sign up for our newsletter. The staff of MGES as well! We are planning to send out an anonymous 5 question survey to help us plan for next year!

Hello Everyone!

We are on the lookout for a business or individual who has 1-2 large boulders that could be used at Mt.Gilead Elementary as spirit rocks. The one at the front entrance is quite small and we’d love to have a larger one. The bus riders enter by the cafeteria so it would be amazing if we could find 2 boulders at some point.

If you know anyone who may be able to help, please send them our way! They can also contact the principal, Mrs. Black.
