🚨 Big news from the farm... we finally hired a new crew! 🚨

They're short, they're loud, they work for snacks, and they have absolutely no experience. 🤷‍♀️😂
Good thing we came prepared with a kid-sized wheelbarrow and garden tools! 🌱🧑‍🌾

This fall our little farmers will be digging, planting, hauling, watering, and proudly showing off every w**d they pull (and probably a few worms too 🪱).
Around here, we believe childhood should be a little muddy, a lot hands-on, and full of real-life learning. ❤️

Now if only we could teach them to put the tools away when they're done... 😉

🌻 Something NEW is coming to The Little Country Farm School this fall...

This year, we're introducing Meaningful Farm Chores as part of our daily learning experience.

Before anyone worries...no, we aren't putting preschoolers to work. 😉 Quite the opposite!

Teaching children to collect eggs, hang hand towels on the clothesline, water the garden, or help care for our animals actually creates more work for us. It would be much faster if we simply did it ourselves.

But that's not why we're here.

We're here to raise children who are confident, capable, compassionate, and proud to contribute.

Every chore is carefully chosen, closely supervised, and completely age-appropriate. These aren't jobs—they're learning opportunities. Through real experiences, children build responsibility, independence, perseverance, empathy, problem-solving skills, and confidence while discovering that they can make a meaningful contribution to the world around them.

At The Little Country Farm School, we believe children don't need more busy work...

Y’all… we have ONE part-time opening left at The Little Country Farm School for the upcoming school year!

And when we say small class size, we mean SMALL. 😂

🌻 Just 6 children.

🌻 That’s an incredible 3:1 child-to-teacher ratio!

A ratio like that is almost unheard of! It means more individual attention, more conversations, more hands-on learning, and more time to really know each child.

Around here, children aren’t lost in the crowd. They’re busy exploring nature, visiting the animals, digging in the dirt, creating, discovering, asking approximately 4,782 questions a day 😂, and enjoying some good old-fashioned childhood!

And now, families have TWO part-time options:

🌻 2 days per week — $280/month
🌻 3 days per week — $420/month
🌻 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
🌻 Ages 4 & up

We’re not a typical preschool—and we don’t want to be. We keep our school small on purpose because we believe children deserve to be known, heard, encouraged, and never lost in the shuffle.

Did your Christmas tree survive the holidays but not your desire to store it for another year? 🎄😂

I know it's June, and the last thing most of us want to think about is Christmas, but hear me out...

We're building a pretend campground and forest for our dramatic play area and would love any old GREEN artificial Christmas trees you might be getting rid of. You may have to dig way back in the garage, attic, or storage shed to find them! 😆

The more mismatched, wonky, and well-loved, the better! Our preschoolers won't notice missing lights or funny branches—they'll just see a magical forest full of adventure.

Holy Cow! We Did It! 🐄🎓❤️

What a day.

On Saturday, we celebrated big accomplishments, little milestones, and some very special little people. Watching these sweet faces walk across our stage, smile for pictures, and proudly receive their diplomas filled my heart in ways I can't quite put into words.

This year was our first full year as a school, and these children have been part of every adventure, every lesson, every muddy boot, every farm chore, every story, every song, and every memory we've made along the way.

Some of our graduates are heading off to kindergarten, some are beginning new adventures, and some will be returning to continue growing with us. No matter where their paths lead, they will always be part of our Little Country family.

As I looked around Saturday, I was reminded that childhood isn't measured by grades or test scores. It's measured in scraped knees, belly laughs, newfound confidence, friendships made, and the courage to try something new.

To our families—thank you for trusting us with your greatest treasures. To our kiddos—we are so proud of each and every one of you.

From tiny seeds grow mighty trees, and we can't wait to see how tall you'll grow.
