This week, our new students and staff were celebrated with a slideshow featuring every one of their faces, then heard their names called in chapel and received a Bible to call their own, each one holding words from our founder, Dr. Pierre W. DuBose, tucked inside: “This Book will keep you from sin, sin will keep you from this Book.” A new school year, a new family, and a foundation that has held steady since 1934. 💙

We loved having alumnus Emilio Flores back on campus yesterday. Three years after graduating, he’s serving in the Air Force working on aircraft and stationed next in Washington state. He shared with our elementary students and spent time with our older students and staff, telling them how boot camp stretched him in ways he never expected. He said God used that season to grow his patience and strength, and gave him a peace he didn’t know he needed. Philippians 4:13 was the verse that carried him through it all. So proud of Emilio! 💙🤍 🦁🐾

Chapels this week pointed our whole school toward the same truth, just at different levels. Mrs. Love spoke to our elementary students about God’s holiness and the gift of Jesus Christ.
