✨SECOND ANNUAL STORY BOOK PARADE✨

We need your help! Due to hurricane Milton, a family at another one of our centers has lost everything. We are seeking donations on their behalf. All donations will go directly to the family. I have included all information that I currently have about the family and will continue to update as I get more information.

1 Girl, 2 boys
Girls sizes-
- Size 8 pants and shirts, medium shirts & size 13 or 1 in shoes.

Boys sizes-
- 4t-5t preferred 5t. Size 9 shoes.
- 9-12 month clothes.
- 18 month clothes.

All size diapers or pull ups are appreciated. The family will also need diapers, wipes, groceries, toiletries and adult clothes and shoes.

All donations can be dropped off at the center.

Our students got their vision and hearing screening done today. After screening, the Lake Sumter nursing students teamed up with the Lake County Early Learning Coalition and taught our VPK students about hand washing! 😀

We had lots of fun seeing the germs on our hand and washing them off.

LENA has arrived!!!! ‼️🥳

LENA Grow is a program used worldwide to track conversational turns between teachers and students. The students will wear a vest with the talk pedometer placed in the front pocket one day per week for 5 weeks. All teachers and staff will participate in a Zoom training weekly to monitor their growth throughout the 5 week program. We are elated to have the opportunity to participate in LENA Grow, to learn how to better communicate with our students and to share the information with our families and community. We appreciate the Lake County Early Learning Coalition for this opportunity and for their continued dedication and support for the Early Educators in Lake County!
