Grand re-opening. This business has changed its name. I'm celebrating finding a better name for it, and I'm looking for some initial clients! Here's the deal! I know that trusting a new, unreviewed tutor is a challenge. What I'll offer as an incentive is a discount to my usual prices for services if you're willing to write said reviews, and I want you being 100% honest about your child's progress receiving my services.

I'll just ask for minimum wage in my state to cover costs: $15.10/hour. Below, I'e listed the services I'm providing. Keep in mind that I'm still going to offer our initial meeting to discuss your child's needs for free.

1. Assistance with learning Spanish as a second language.
2. Assistance with critical thinking skills that are found useful in an English Language Arts classroom (e.g. essay writing, analytical reading).
3. General assistance with homework. The subject area can be anything so long as the topic level hasn't reached a level that I'm no longer comfortable with (we'll discuss this).
4. General assistance with study skills. Having trouble with managing your study skills? I'll share the secrets and techniques I've learned over two decades as a student to excel as a student.
5. Assistance learning English as a second language.

Is one of your children (or maybe you) experiencing challenges with their learning process? I'm aiming to help out! The following services are available at a rate of $25.00/hour. online, following a flexible schedule that considers the busy lifestyle as a student.

1. One-time homework assistance (for individuals who are facing a difficult assignment with which they would like help with).

2. English Language Arts skills development, including the ability to write better literature reviews, and how to pinpoint the use of subtle devices when reading to interpret an author's message (e.g. metaphor, personification, irony....etc.)

3. Spanish Language (any level). Assistance provided to help improve a student's ability to communicate using both written and spoken Spanish, and to accurately understand others who are speaking this language to them.

4. English as a Second Language (any level). Assistance provided to help improve a student's ability to communicate using both written and spoken English, and to accurately understand others who are speaking this language to them.

5. Student Skill Development, used to aim to improve a student's motivation to learn while helping them master excellent time management and study techniques to empower better overall learning results.

Note that your initial consultation meeting with me is 100% free of charge. This session will be used to establish an initial understanding of a child's needs, and to offer an estimate on expected charges. Upon client request, at that time we can agree to the terms of an installment plan as well for compensation of services.

The following listing outlines the scope of the services I provide as a tutor.

Package 1: General homework help. This is your best option if you're a student struggling with one assignment and need some help from an experienced PhD candidate in Special Education. This service can be requested per diem (I.e. one session, and you'd be finished if you felt that to be your need) - and covers all general education areas.

Package 2: A Targeted Plan. Do you foresee the need for more than just one day's worth of help (in other words, you'd like some additional help learning what the teacher is teaching)? This is going to be a better option than the first since I'm going to develop a fuller understanding of your unique needs as a learner and help you achieve said learning goals. This package can be used for any subject except Spanish or English Language Arts (see below).

Package 3: Specialized Target Plan. You're going to gain much more confidence in your skills as a writer or with English Language Arts and/or acquiring the Spanish Language knowing that you are being helped by a teacher that has been certified by the Maine department of Education to teach others how to speak it. Therefore, for the experience/education that I'm offering with these subject areas I'm simply asking for a slightly higher fee for compensation.

All fees are negotiable, but you can generally expect me to ask between 20 to 35/hour depending on the service. These details will be finalized during an initial, free-of-charge meeting between myself and the person responsible for paying for services (e.g. parents) that will also empower us to pinpoint the best service for the child based on their learning goals and unique needs.
