What a great day of learning, exploring, and building new outdoor skills at CBC! Our Adult Outdoor Skills Day brought together people of all experience levels for hands-on workshops led by knowledgeable outdoor educators.

These photos highlight two of the day’s sessions: Introduction to Rod-and-Reel Fishing and Casting Skills (led by Schoodic Institute Environmental Educator Lex Harrington) and Intro to Archery and Bowhunting Skills (led by Haleigh White from Maine Inland Fisheries & Wildlife).

Other sessions included Reading the Forested Landscape with renowned terrestrial ecologist Tom Wessels, Beneath the Surface: Exploring Lake Ecology with Billy Helprin (Director of Somes-Meynell Wildlife Sanctuary) and Learn to Hunt with Registered Maine Guide Carmen Bombeke!

A huge thank you to our incredible sponsors, Atlantic Landscape Construction, Friends of Acadia , and Bangor Savings Bank , for supporting the Outdoor Skills Day Series and helping make these opportunities possible! We’re grateful for your investment in outdoor education and lifelong learning. 💚

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day such a success! We hope to see you back at CBC for another outdoor adventure soon.
