Day three in New York 🗽 The Rooted students began their morning in Central Park, surrounded by the beauty of God’s creation in the heart of one of the busiest cities in the world. From there, they explored the Metropolitan Museum of Art and ended the night in Times Square, taking in the lights.
In the midst of a city that never seems to slow down, we’re reminded that God is present in every place and every moment. Whether surrounded by His creation, experiencing the beauty of art, or walking through the bright lights of Times Square, our prayer is that these students continue to see God, hear His voice, and recognize opportunities to share His love wherever they go

Day two in New York City! 🗽
Today, the Rooted students ventured into the heart of the city, spreading God’s love along the way. We enjoyed a beautiful scenic ferry ride, took in the sights, and enjoyed powerful prayer meeting in Times Square. A wonderful reminder that God is at work everywhere.

Day one in New York! The students spent their day exploring the city, serving at Salt and Sea Mission, spending time with the Lord at Coney Island, and attending worship.

As we conclude this week at Rooted, we express our gratitude to our teacher, Pastor Bruce Hillman. It was an honor for all the students to not only learn from Bruce but also to engage in fellowship. Bruce provided the students with a comprehensive framework of the Meta Narrative, allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of the Bible moving forward.

This week at Rooted, the students welcomed their second teacher of the year, Pastor Bruce Hillman, and immediately delved into the meta-narrative. However, the fun didn’t stop after class. They applied what they had learned in the classroom to their daily lives. This week, the students volunteered to serve at Tuscarora. They engaged in activities such as face painting for the kids’ ministry, hiking, playing games, and lots of just dance..
During the week, they were also blessed to join Hillside Lutheran Brethren Church for a service of worship. We kindly request your prayers for us as we embark on our upcoming trip to New York. May we have a safe and spiritually enriching journey .

"Rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”

Two weeks ago, Rooted welcomed a group of 14 young adults who are eager to grow in their faith this year. Over the past two weeks, there have been plenty of laughs, delicious food, Bible studies, and worship nights. The students embarked on their first trip to the Adirondack mountains, hiking Crane Mountain. Since their return, they have commenced their spiritual formation class and welcomed their first teacher. Additionally, they have been serving with youth ministries at Mount Bethel Church.

We express our gratitude for your prayers for this class as they embark on this journey. We kindly request that you continue to pray for them as they navigate this incredible journey of discipleship.

Rooted Move-In Day!

The rooms are filling up, students are meeting, and a brand new year of Rooted is officially underway.

We’ve been preparing and praying for these students, and we’re so glad they’re finally here. Welcome to Tuscarora, Rooted Class of 2027! 🤍

The countdown is on! A new class of fourteen Rooted students arrives on September 12 - and we are preparing brand new spaces for them to enjoy.

Pray with us that the work is finished on time, and pray for each new student as they prepare to join us!

It's almost time for a new Rooted class to arrive!

Preparations are underway, expanded housing is taking shape, and anticipation is building for the students who will soon call this place home. There is so much happening behind the scenes, and we cannot wait to welcome them! 🌱

We know it has been a little quiet here. But behind the scenes? Rooted has been moving!

It's been a busy summer for Roger and Jenny, sharing about Rooted and seeing students old and new. A class of fourteen students arrives September 12, preparations are in full swing, and the Carriage House is being transformed into additional student living space. These photos offer just a glimpse of everything taking shape.
