Photo dump from Kenya!💚

- Sunday - we spent the morning in worship and then had an amazing experience celebrating different cultures.
- Monday - we set up a health clinic at a local school and screened 400+ kids. In the afternoon got to be a part of a beautiful moment by participating in building a house for a widow in the community.
- Tuesday - we got to experience caring for patients at local hospitals in Bondo and Madiany.

Kenya so far!! 🇰🇪

Day 1: we went to Nairobi national park and saw some amazing animals!
Day 2: we went to the Nairobi School of Nursing and collaborated with students there about various research topics. We then toured the Nairobi hospital and learned much from the medical staff there.

Did you know the way we position our patients can directly impact their oxygenation?

Prone positioning (placing a patient on their stomach) has been shown to improve oxygen availability. This outcome is beneficial especially in patients experiencing severe hypoxia. By optimizing lung expansion and gas exchange, this simple intervention can make a life-saving difference.

A group of senior researchers recently explored this in their evidence-based practice capstone project, evaluating how effective prone positioning truly is in improving patient outcomes.

Sometimes, small changes in care lead to the biggest impacts.
