Congratulations to these outstanding paramedics on this well-deserved recognition! 🚑

We are especially proud that all providers recognized are graduates of the SCC EMS Program. It is always rewarding to see our graduates making a meaningful difference in the communities they serve.

Thank you to the Surry County Board of Commissioners for recognizing the lifesaving efforts of these providers, and congratulations to each of you on an incredible accomplishment. We are proud of you and the work you continue to do for Surry County!

Please join us in congratulating these paramedics, who were recognized at the Surry County Board of County Commissioners’ meeting during our annual Life Save Recognition.

Behind each recognition is a patient, a family, and another opportunity to spend time together. It also reminds us of the difference our providers can make when someone needs them most.

We are very proud of these paramedics and appreciate the knowledge, teamwork, and commitment they bring to this service and to Surry County.

Thank you to our Board of County Commissioners for helping us recognize their work. Congratulations to each of you, and thank you for all you do!

Throughout the course, these students put in the hours—in the classroom, practicing skills, working through scenarios, studying, testing, and gaining real-world experience in the clinical setting. Last night, all five crossed the finish line together.

September 11, 2001.
A defining moment in our nation’s history.

We remember the lives lost that morning, and we honor those who answered the call—those who ran toward the devastation when every instinct would have told them to run away.

In the days, weeks, and months that followed, countless individuals continued to serve—searching through the rubble, looking for signs of life, recovering those who were lost, and helping a nation through unimaginable grief.

Their courage and sacrifice left a lasting legacy of service. For many of our generation, September 11th shaped what it meant to serve and inspired countless people to pursue careers in the military, law enforcement, fire service, EMS, and other roles devoted to helping others.

More than two decades later, we remember not only the tragedy of that day, but the courage, sacrifice, service, and unity that followed.

Today, we invite you to join us in remembrance. Whether it is a name, a story, a memory, or simply a few words honoring those who served and those we lost, we welcome you to share it below.

Never Forget.

Please join us in congratulating our newest Advanced EMT graduates and 3 of North Carolina's newly credentialed Advanced EMT Providers! 🚑🔥

This class officially completed the program on Monday, May 18th, and over the past week, every single student has passed the North Carolina AEMT Credentialing Exam on their FIRST attempt!

From long class days filled with skills labs and scenarios, to demanding online coursework, to 120 clinical hours in the Emergency Department and on the ambulance, this group showed determination, grit, and a true passion for EMS every step of the way. Their work ethic and dedication to patient care have been evident from day one, and we couldn’t be more proud of what they’ve accomplished.
