Things got a little SLIMY at MCA today!

Our No Fuss Fundraiser winning classes got to celebrate in a BIG way by sliming our MPACT President Keisha Mchone and Officer Freed!

The students had an absolute blast, and our two brave volunteers were great sports!

A huge THANK YOU to our MPACT team, our families, and everyone who supported this year's fundraiser. We love seeing our MCA community come together for a great cause and have a little fun along the way!

This week, our second graders enjoyed a visit from the North Carolina Cooperative Extension 4-H Program! Students learned about insect body parts and discovered that insects have a head, thorax, abdomen, and six legs.

This week, students had a fun assignment to identify insects at home. Next week, they will share their findings and observe caterpillar eggs as they hatch and grow into
butterflies!

Our 4th graders had a wonderful day at Pilot Mountain State Park enjoying nature and kicking off our science unit on geology! 🌿

Students got hands-on with science as they completed a lab exploring erosion, participated in a rock scavenger hunt, and took a hike to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.

There’s nothing like learning outside the classroom! Students had the opportunity to explore, investigate, ask questions, and make real-world connections to the science concepts we’ll be studying.

The weather was beautiful, the scenery was amazing, and the day was perfect! What a great way to begin our geology unit and make lasting memories! 🪨
