Habersham Christian Learning Center Shining the Light, equipping students through Faith, Hope, and Education. No tax money is used to fund the released-time program.

HCLC teaches Christian ethics, morals, and values to high school students during their school day by sharing God's truths in love for passion and purpose throughout life. Classes are offered free of charge to students. Operational funds come from churches, individuals, businesses, civic clubs, and United Way.

At HCLC, we want students to do more than simply know what they believe—we want them to understand why they believe it.
From examining the evidence for Jesus’ resurrection to asking what they would say if someone asked them about their faith, our students are learning to ask questions, think critically, and seek truth.

We loved welcoming both new and returning students as we kicked off another year of learning, growing, and building community together. From opening God's Word to meeting new classmates, Monday was a great reminder of what makes HCLC so special.

Not everything at HCLC is in the syllabus...
Here's a sneak peek at a few things you might spot this year:
• A bowtie that's impossible to miss
• The world's most recognizable water bottle
• A flying Expo marker
• A candy wheel
• HCLC merch
• And, of course, lots of Bibles.
Every class has its own traditions, personalities, and moments that make HCLC feel like home. We can't wait for another great year with our students.
