During their recent Black Belt Test, Ethan, Emily, Daniel, and Levi performed Nianche 1 - and we have to say, it never gets old!

No matter how many times we’ve seen it performed, this is always one of our absolute favorite parts of the Black Belt Test. There’s something so powerful about watching our students demonstrate the focus, precision, timing, and confidence they’ve developed throughout their karate journey.

Four amazing students. One unforgettable moment.

We had a busy weekend at HiYa! Karate and proudly welcomed four new students to the rank of Black Belt! If you see Ethan, Emily, Daniel, or Levi around, please give them a BIG congratulations on this incredible accomplishment!

Newly ranked 1st Dan, Daniel Neiderlander, had the opportunity to share with us a reflection on his black belt journey. From the hard work and challenges to the growth, lessons, and accomplishments along the way, Daniel’s journey is a wonderful reminder that earning a black belt is about so much more than the belt itself.
